myBillBook → OnGravy

Love the billing.
Add real accounting under it.

myBillBook nails simple mobile billing. OnGravy does billing, inventory and collections too — then adds double-entry books, GST return filing, an audit-grade ledger and your CA in the same place.

Where myBillBook still beats us: myBillBook wins on ultra-simple mobile billing, a built-in customer-facing online store, lightweight simplicity, low price and huge small-business reach. If you just want to bill on your phone and run a web catalog, it's a great fit. We close the depth gap quarter by quarter — see our public compliance changelog for the audit trail.

Moving over takes an afternoon

Your items, parties and balances come across — and your billing habit doesn't change.

  1. Export from myBillBook. Export your items, parties and transactions from myBillBook (Settings → Export / share data).
  2. Import into OnGravy. Upload the export in Settings → Restore. We auto-map items and parties; anything ambiguous is shown side-by-side to confirm.
  3. Verify opening balances. OnGravy shows your outstanding and stock balances next to the source — reconcile to the rupee before posting.
  4. Bill as usual, file in a click. Keep billing the way you know — and now your GST returns draft themselves from the books behind the scenes.

myBillBook vs OnGravy — common questions

Is OnGravy harder to use than myBillBook?

Day-to-day billing is just as quick (quick-bill + POS + WhatsApp). The difference is what happens underneath: OnGravy keeps real double-entry books and drafts your GST returns, so you get accounting depth without extra work.

Will I lose my online store if I switch?

Be honest with yourself here — if a public web storefront is central to your business, myBillBook has that built in and OnGravy does not (our customer-ordering path is WhatsApp-based). If you mainly bill and manage GST/inventory, OnGravy is a clear step up.

Can my CA work in it with me?

Yes — OnGravy has built-in CA collaboration and practice management, so your CA can review, reconcile and prepare filings alongside you. myBillBook is single-business billing.

Do you file GST for me?

OnGravy drafts GSTR-1, 3B and 9 from your books with 2A/2B reconciliation — you (or your CA) review and file. myBillBook gives you reports to hand over; OnGravy prepares the returns.

What does it cost?

Plans start at ₹799/month (Business Owner). There is no free tier — subscription is up front. In return you get full accounting, GST filing and an audit-grade ledger, not just billing.
